Ah yes...probably the first book I cooked from too. I have two copies and still use them. In NZ the equivalent is the Edmond's book. Much the same idea (flour brand).
One from the 70s and one from the 90s (with metric measurements!). I used to have an even older one but it seems to have got mislaid in one of my moves.
We have a similar equivalent here in Aus - I can't remember the name - but I have the Kiwi version, the Edmonds book. My husband has imposed a one in one out rule on my books as well, but exceptions are made for birthdays etc. My dog used to have amazing taste in cookbooks and would buy just the ones I'd been after lol.
I love your voice Alex and, of course, the content. Please keep at it. It is inspiring me to put some thoughts down on all the ways that food and its preparation settle into our souls.

Just looked up Edmonds. Nice to know. I'm wondering what version of the BeRo book you have!

So small probably got lost in the odds and ends box!
I bought myself an Edmonds cookbook shortly after moving to NZ; it felt like the proper thing to do. :)
I have gazillions of cookbooks; I find the Eat Your Books website an absolute game changer in how I actually use them!
I love that website Mary, I curated one of the books on there. https://www.eatyourbooks.com/library/179199/the-mountain-cafe-cookbook-a
They were meticulous in terms of data quality and I learned a lot about recipes with the process.
Your dog is amazing! I wish I had such an excuse.

That is so kind Sarah, thank you. I hope the writing goes well.
