What a cracking adventure, Alex! ๐ฒ I did read the localโs name as Stan Bob before realising ๐
Those photos look stunning - makes all the pain getting up there worth it Iโm sure ๐ (Easy for me to say, sat munching on a bacon sarnie whilst reading this!)
The Local may well have been called Stan ๐ I love that! Itโs a carving of the Reverend John McIntosh, that replaced a stone statue from the 1900โs that was destroyed in the 70โs. Trying to look all knowledgeableโฆ.but thatโs what the sign said! I wish there was a cafe at the top selling bacon sarnies!

Great story Alex. Like we always say when weโre hiking in the rain remember itโs just waterโฆvery very cold water. โ๏ธ
and definitely better than being in the Office ๐ thanks Julie
Oh...that does sound a bit of an adventure (says the person who gave up hill walking many years ago after getting soaked and then sick).
Hill walking in Scotland can definitely be a soggy affair! That sounds grim getting sick after a hill walk!
It was awful...and I said never again.... :-)
